We are very excited about the special Sammy Nestico tribute concert at the Grandel Theater!  Lots of great music, swing dancers, and an exclusive preview of Sammy Nestico Documentary will be show on the big screen!  Pre-show music starts at 2:00 in the Dark Room (lobby of the Grandel) with the Lindbergh HS Jazz Combo.  Theater doors open at 2:30.  Concert in the Grandel Theater begins at 3:00 with the Lindbergh HS Jazz Ensemble under the direction of David Wyss.  Then the preview of Sammy's documentary will be shown.  After the preview, then the Dave Dickey Big Band will perform along with the top swing dancers from the St Louis area.  Even though this is a free concert, RSVP your name and how many people will be in your group to SammyNesticoDocumentary@gmail.com 

FREE CONCERT! Very thankful to have a private sponsor to make this a free concert! Anita Jackson will be a guest vocalist with the Dave Dickey Big Band. Webster Groves HS Jazz 1 will play during intermission and several of their students will sit in with the Dave Dickey Big Band last set. Big Band concert in the theater will begin at 6pm (theater doors open at 5:30pm). Also Webster Groves HS Jazz Combo will play in The Dark Room (jazz club in the lobby of the Grandel Building) from 5-6pm. General admission and no reservations for tickets.

Excited to have special guests that day Joey Tartell (Indiana University trumpet professor), Pat Harbison (Indiana University jazz trumpet professor), Tito Carrillo (University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana jazz trumpet professor), and Joseph L. Jefferson (Southeast Missouri State University trombone and jazz professor). We will also be featuring 2 excellent vocalists Paula Michelle Franks and Terri Ann Pankhurst ! Intermission band will be the North County High School Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Dobie Carroll. Several of their students and other students from the Farmington area will be sitting in with our band last set for a few songs. We will also have a youth jazz combo put together that will be playing in the lobby from 3:00-3:50 before the show. Tickets are $12 and will go on sale December 1st at the Farmington Centene Center.
