Dave Dickey Big Band is an 18 piece jazz big band featuring many of the top jazz musicians and educators from the St Louis, Edwardsville, Springfield MO, Columbia, Jefferson City, and Champaign-Urbana, IL.  Everytime the band performs public performances, a different middle school, high school, or college jazz band is invited to play intermission and the last set several of their students sit in the sections with the Dave Dickey Big Band and also get to solo.  The band is also available for private parties, corporate events, and wedding receptions.

FREE CONCERT!  Sunday May 15th at the Grandel Theater in St Louis.  Very thankful to have a private sponsor to make this a free concert!  Anita Jackson will be a guest vocalist with the Dave Dickey Big Band.  Webster Groves HS Jazz 1 will play during intermission and several of their students will sit in with the Dave Dickey Big Band last set.  Big Band concert in the theater will begin at 6pm.  Also Webster Groves HS Jazz Combo will play in The Dark Room (jazz club in the lobby of the Grandel Building) from 5-6pm.  More information will be posted soon including how to get the free tickets.  Pictures are of a past concert with Dave DIckey Big Band and Anita Jackson at The Grandel Theater.

Thankful for these 2 students getting a chance to get some college scholarship money! We had some wonderful sponsors for the Dave Dickey Big Band Christmas concert last December at the Centene Center and they chipped in extra money for these students! These 2 North County HS students performed with The North County Jazz Ensemble during intermission, then the last set they sat in with my Dave Dickey Big Band. Thank you to Paula Michelle Franks, Terri Ann Pankhurst, Dobie Carroll, Emily Ries, and everyone who helped put that concert together.
